This is the last Will and Testament of me William Spendlove of Ireton Wood in the county of Derby, Farmer. I direct the payment of all my debts and other expenses out of my personal estate.I give all my furnature and other goods chattels and effects and all my farming and other live and dead stock crops and other goods chattels and effects and all my money and personal effects Unto my wife Hannah Spendlove for her life for her use and with full power to alter or vary any of my stock for others as she may deam right and advantageous and after her decease then I give the whole of such personal estate Unto my daughter Mary Ann Spendlove for her own absolute use and benifit. I also give my cottage or dwellinghouse with the garden and appertenances thereto belonging or situate at Shottle Gate in the county of Derby left to me recently by Samuel Smith Unto my said wife for her life and after her decease then Unto my daughter absolutely with full power and authority for my said wife and daughter to sell and convert into money my said dwellinghouse and premises and convey and assure the same to a purchaser or purchasors thereof and in case my daughter dying in the lifetime of my wife then that said cottage and premises shall belong to and be my said wifes and to be disposed of by will as she may think proper and direct any other estate property or money which may hereafter fall in or belong to me at my decease I give to the same uses and dispositions as before expressed I appoint my said wife and daughter Executors of this my will and revoke any former will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of October one thousand eight hundred and eighty four
