WILL OF GEORGE SPENDLOVE OF DENBY, DERBYSHIRE Dated 26 OCTOBER 1815 PROBATE GRANTED DERBY 14 OCTOBER 1817

I George Spendlove of Denby in the country of Derby Yeoman do make publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I will and direct that all my just Debts Funeral expenses and legacies by me given shall be paid and satisfied by my executors here after named I give and bequeath the sum of one shilling to my Daughter Elizabeth Swindil I also give and bequeath to her Daughter Elizabeth Swindil Ten Pounds I also give and bequeath to her Daughter Sharlot Swindil Ten Pounds I also give and bequeath to my daughter Alice Horsley the sum of twenty pounds I also give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Weston the sum of Twenty pounds I also give and bequeath to my daughter Lucey Sanders the sum of twenty pounds I also give and bequeath to my daughter Gemima Spendlove the sum of fifty pounds I also give and bequeath to my granddaughter Hannah smith the sum of ten pounds I also give and bequeath to my granddaughter Ann Weston ten pounds and all the rest of my estate I give and bequeath to my sun George Spendlove and I hereby apint my sun George Spendlove Executor of this will hereby revoking all former will or wills by me at any time theretofore made in witness whereof I the said Testator George Spendlove have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fiftene

In the Goods of George Spendlove Deceased

Appeared Personally George Spendlove of Denby in the County of Derby Shoemaker the sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of the said George Spendlove late of Denby in the County of Derby Yeoman Deceased; and made Oath, that the estate and Effects of the said Deceased, for, or, in respect of which a Probate of the said, will is to be granted exclusive of what the said Deceased may have been possessed of, or entitled to, as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, but including the leasehold Estate or Estates for Years of the Deceased, if any, whether absoloute or determinable upon lives, and without deducting anything on account or the Debts, due and owing from the said Deceased, are under the value of two hundred pounds, to the best of this Deponents knowledge information and belief.
