This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Spendlove of Shottle
Lawn Farm in the County of Derby Yeoman made this twentieth day of January
one thousand eight hundred and sixty five .Hearby I appoint William Deaville
of The New Buildings in Shottle aforesaid Yeoman and my son in Law Thomas
Spendlove of the Crow trees in Shottle aforesaid Yeoman Executors,thereof
I bequeath a feather Bed,night chair,set of mahogony drawers,one table
tea trolly and tea service unto my wife Ann Spendlove absolutely I bequeath
the remainder of my household furnature Live and Dead farming stock Good
Will of Farm money and securities for money and all other my personal estate
unto my son Job Spendlove who is now residing with me for his own absolute
use and benifit subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary
expenses.I devise All thatmy Close of Land situate at Duffield in the county
of Derby called The Top of the Low Close and purchased by me of Mr William
Tempest and all other my Estate situate at Duffield aforesaid Unto the
said William Deaville and his heirs Upon Trust for my Grandson Thomas Spendlove
(the youngest son of the said Job Spendlove)his heirs and assigns for ever
but subject nevertheless to the payment of the anual produce and the rents
and produce thereof unto my said wife Anne Spendlove until my said Grandson
attains the age of twenty one years if she shall so long continue unmarried.And
also subject to the payment of the Legacies of One hundered pounds apiece
to my Grandchildren Annie and William the children of my daughter Ellen
Spendlove deceased to be paid upon my said Grandson attaining the age of
twenty one years.And I hereby charge my said Copyhold Estate with the payment
of the said legacies.I devise and bequeath all estates vested in me as
trustee or Mortgagee unto my said Executors upon trust for the purposesw
for which I hold the same.I devise and bequeath the residue of my real
and personal estate unto my son Job Spendlove his heirs executors administrators
or assigns for ever.I revoke all other Wills by me at anytime heretofore
made and declare this to be my last and unto it as such I have hereunto
set my hand the day and year first herein written. Thomas Spendlove signed
by the said Thomas Spendlove as and for his last Will and Testament in
the presence of us present at the same time who at the same time at his
request in his presence of each other have hereunto set our names as Witnesses.John

Proved at Derby the 3rd day of March 1868 by the Oath of William Deaville
and Thomas Spendlove the Executors to whome administration was granted.
The Tesator Thomas Spendlove was late of Shottle Lawn Farm in the parish
of Duffield in the County of Derby Farmer and died on the second day of
November 1867 at Shottle Lawn Farm aforesaid
