John Spendlove of Ashleyhay Jobber Epiphany Sessions Derby Quarter Sessions

Extracted from Derbyshire Quarter Sessions Order Books located at Derbyshire Records Office Matlock.

John Radford the younger Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County having returned to this Court a Conviction under his hand and seal to be filed amongst the Records of this Sessions Whereby John Spendlove of Ashley Hay in the said County Jobber was convicted before him of unlawfully having in his Custody or possession on the twenty eighth day of december now last past at the Township of Shottle and Postern in the said County divers,to wit ,two Partridges of the game of England and did then and there expose the same to sale contrary to the form of the Statute in such case made and provided.And the said Justice declared and adjuged that the said John Spendlove had for his Offence aforesaid forfeited the sum of Ten pounds to be distributed according to the form of the Statute in that case made and provided.This Court doth therefore order that the said Conviction be filed accordingly.

John Radford the younger Esquire one of His Majesty's Justice of the peace for this County having returned to this Court a Conviction under his hand and seal to be filed amongst the Records of this Sessions.Whereby John Spendlove of Ashley Hay in the said County Jobber was convicted before him of keeping and using on the twenty eighth day of December now last past at the Township of Shottle and Postern in the said County a Gun to kill and destroy Game contrary to the form of the Statute in such case made and provided.And the said Justice declared and adjudged that the said John Spendlove had for his Offence aforesaid forfeited the sum of Five pounds to be distributed accordingly to the form of the Statute in that case made and provided.This Court doth therefore order that the said Conviction be filed accordingly.
